Dana Frankfort

Dana Frankfort takes words – sometimes comical, sometimes mundane, and sometimes consequential – and paints them in dynamic brush strokes. The words are painted over, disrupted, and mutated in a layering that engages the studio practice and linguistic meaning-making. These painterly and compositional choices open up the potential for in-betweenness.
