Lisa Beck

  • Lisa Beck’s visual language could be described as a formal dialectic aiming to converge the universal and the particular, the former being inaccessible to humans, in the artist’s view. Through opposing forms, perceivable by humans, one can seek to grasp, even slightly, the visual metaphor for relationality. With the language of abstraction, shapes are symbolic of many ideas at once, offering, perhaps, a slice of the concept of the universal.
