The Armory Show 2024: Liliana Porter

  • SECRIST | BEACH is pleased to participate in The Armory Show's FOCUS Section with a solo, multimedia presentation by Liliana Porter. Responding to FOCUS curator Robyn Farrell's prompt to "reflect on these avant-garde histories" of the thirty-year annum of the fair, our booth F16 will exhibit a survey of select Cibachrome prints (circa mid-1990s) alongside recent works on paper, sculpture, and an on-site wall installation, all works visually and conceptually playing with the non-linear and conversational nature of time.

    Liliana Porter (b. Argentina, 1941, resides in New York since 1964) works across mediums with printmaking, painting, drawing, photography, video, installation, theater, and public art. Porter began showing her work in 1959 and has since been in over 450 exhibitions in 40 countries. 

     

    Porter is currently on view at DIA Bridgehampton. Being recognized for her contribution to art history, Porter has been recently highlighted in major exhibitions including Musee d’Art Contemporain, (2023) and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY (2022), the 57th Venice Biennale (2017), a career spanning survey at El Museo Del Barrio (2018) and a performance presented at The Kitchen (2018).
